In every tradition initiations there were rituals of death and resurrection: a new beginning, a new birth. In primitive societies, the ritual of birth and resurrection, generally, is expressed in a very dramatic manner. We have a clear example of this in Tibet, where Buddhist doctrines kept a shaman tradition very strong. Before celebrating the ritual Tchod, the Tibetan lama must follow a rigorous spiritual training of detachment. To detach oneself is only to des-hypnotize oneself. If this is not understood, detachment becomes an harmful theory, able to pervert itself in indifference.
Inner Travel:
In the full Light of your conscience,
imagine
you are a Tibetan lama,
without
forgetting whom you are,
imagine
you are a Tibetan lama,
who
will begin the ritual of death and resurrection.
You are going out from the monastery on horseback,
riding,
riding on narrow tracks
and
going up the frozen mountain, covered with snow.
On
the right an abyss,
the abysmal vertigo of the depths,
of snow and ice.
You go
down from the horse.
On the cliff, you call for the demons,
calling
for the ugly and wicked spirits
who torment the human beings,
the
spirits of illness,
the spirits of crime and felony,
the
spirits of sufferings,
of treason,
of madness.
They
come.
With
their knives, with their cutting spades,
like an avalanche they come doing
much noise.
You give your body to them.
You give your body.
Very happy,
the demons
push you to the icy ground white of snow.
They
cut your hands, your feet, your limbs.
With
one stroke they cut your head.
They
put your head upon a log,
they want your head to see the spectacle,
the
feast, the happiness.
They
open your chest,
put away your heart,
tear
away your intestines,
your stomach, your liver.
The
demons are dancing of joy and blood.
Your
head look at them dancing,
playing, eating, joking.
The
demons are happy,
they are hungry, are happy hungry,
devour, devour.
They
vomit.
They
vomit the intestines,
they vomit the feet,
pieces, hands, limbs, other
pieces of meat.
They
are so happy
that they become your friends, your allies,
ready
to help you, to advise you.
Ready
to heal for you,
to heal for you the body, the soul and destiny.
They join the pieces,
anew they build your
body.
Now
you have a magical body, invulnerable,
a
body which never could be destroyed,
even
in the other side
your body could not be destroyed.
You
focus your conscience towards your place of power,
into
the Temple of the Sun.
You
are you.
You
are more you than ever.
Comment
There is no difference between the Tibetan ritual and Sereptie's
adventure. Becoming friend with the demons, they are no more demoniac,
they no more actuate blindly.
A
defect is nothing more than a quality blindly acting in the night of the unconscious,
but consciously used becomes a quality. If I am afraid of a violent side
of my nature, I'll reject this part of me. This part will not cease to be, I'll
only become unconscious of it, and in the night of my unconscious, it will blindly
behave, and distort my perceptions, my intelligence, my destiny. Then, when I
acknowledge it, I'll use it consciously, luminously. Far from being violence,
it will be energy, courage, decision, enthusiasm.
In the Universe, nothing is a thing, everything is a being,
an intelligence. Everything is made of conscience, even the variola, the wind,
the birds, plants and stones.
Later,
next week or next month, we'll hear a shaman calling the spirits of the Universe.
