The Astrologers' and Alchemists' Mercury cannot be found in books, nor in discourses, even though the arts of writing and talking are Mercury qualities. Mercury is a god, an inner power:

Inner Travel:

Once upon a Time,
in the Time Forest,
long ago, today and always,
on the Other Side,
is a Temple, the Temple of the Sun.
In the sunlight, in the full Light of your Consciousness,
you come into this Temple,
and with all of the power of your soul,
you call Mercury, the god of the paths.

In a jump, Mercury appears , facing you, smiling, ironic.
He is coming to open new paths in your life.

He leads you through  a confusion of labyrinths,
into the mystery of the Temple,
with him roaming through unknown corridors,
occult passages.
He opens a door made of violet Light, transparent.
You are entering into a tunnel of violet energy,
slipping with an easy going speed.

Suddenly you are into an Alchemical Laboratory,
Mercury's laboratory.
Into the Laboratory of Curiosity,
the delicious desire to know, to discover.

On the wall facing you a luminous screen extends,
made of a dense, ethereal whiteness,
a screen made of a white energy.
You just have to ask,
the answers to your questions will appear on the screen,
in images,
and you will feel, perceive, know.
You ask : "What is, in my inner world,
the picture which damages me, damages my life ?
What is the image in my inner world I must dissolve ?"
Looking, looking ...
feeling the white energy of the screen move,
taking a form.
Looking at the picture appearing,
becoming more sharp, more clear, more evident.
Looking with your left eye
the image appearing on the screen.

Mercury whispers into your left ear :
"Become tall. Become very tall, 15 feet tall."
And you feel your self rising, more,
you are 15 feet tall, a giant.
From the height you look at the little image on the screen,
so little, and you ask :
" How can I dissolve this little picture  ?"
Looking, hearing, feeling ... from your height feeling
the little image disappear
into the Nothingness it was made of.

You ask :
" What is the picture I must awake into me,
to empower my life?"

Asking, asking for what you need to know about you.
Looking, feeling, perceiving.
Asking about such or such situation which seemed negative :
" What can I do with this ?
How can I entertain my self with this ?
How can I take advantage of this ?"
Looking, hearing, feeling, perceiving,
delighted of curiosity.

The left eye is related to the right brain, the nerves are crossed. To look with the left eye allows you to consciously use your right brain, the brain of intuition, the brain which directly perceives reality. "The sun has two eyes, the sun and the moon." Intelligence has two eyes, the precise, rational, eye and the eye of sensibility, of feeling. We need to use our two eyes to SEE. But also, in some circumstances, we can look only with our left eye, or with our right eye, to see in the sunlight, or in the moonlight.
