A wonderful secret is hidden into the Arcane 15, an Arcane very badly understood, even to the inspired persons who drew the Tarot de Marseille. This figure, with horns upon the head, in no way is diabolical. Is very ancient, already could be found, engraved into the rock, 35.000 years ago, into a french cavern. Already in this time, the shamans put on their head deer's horns. They identified themselves with a deer, they dresssed an animal skin, they put horns on their  head, to recover the divine animal sensibility, this total harmony, this unity with Nature, which permits to foresee that the winter will be severe or soft, which permits to feel where the herd of deers is hidden, so that the tribe may hunt, kill a deer. It would be easy to kill many deers, but they respected life. They needed one, only killed one. They were civilized.

These shamans did what an actor do, imagined themselves as a deer, like an actor imagine himself as King Lear or Othelo. The shaman did not became an animal, he was a man in communion with the soul of the deers. He was very much more than a deer, he was very much more than a common man. He was an inspired man.

The Greeks made of this figure the God Pan, the God of Nature, this God who plays the wonderful flute of Pan. But when the division between spiritual and material grew up, the material, the terrestrial was rejected as inferior. Life was rejected, the meaning of life was rejected. The Buddha wanted to escape from the Universe, and the Christians made of this figure the Devil: as if life were diabolical! As if the Divine Work was a failure !

The Crown is only a sophistication of the horns, and means the communication, from the top of the head, to the Sky, to the Infinite, to the Divine. The communication between the Sky and the Earth, the polarity, Pluto.
When we imagine horns on the top of our head, we easily can feel above our head. We can feel, above our head, the Sky. We can feel the Infinite. We can perceive our Infinite Consciousness. We become conscious of our totality, spiritual, astral and material. We are present in the real world, in its plenitude and its splendor.

The crown was made to remember to the king his infinite nature, and that to govern, without being hypnotized by appearances, he must receive inspiration and power from his Higher Self.A very small number of kings were King. But always there were shamans, authentic men and women, able to heal body, soul and destiny.

Inner Travel:
The shaman

Let your imagination journey in Time.
Let your imagination dream,
enter into the tunnel of Time.

Walking ... walking to arrive in this cavern,
in this pre historical Temple.
Torches weakly illuminate the walls of the cavern.
You take the animal skin, you dress the deer skin.
On your head, you put the deer's horns,
you enter in communion with the animal world, without ceasing being you,
you come in communion with the world of the deers.
Thus, in a blessed state, in a deer's blessed state,
you are going out from the cavern,
walking in the jungle, in total communion with Nature,
with the sky, with the sky in you,
with the earth, with the earth in you.
You work for the tribe, in total communion with Nature,
in the air breathing the smell of the coming winter,
perceiving ... perceiving the savour of winter and how winter will be.

You focus your attention to the herd of the deers.
Where is, where is the herd of the deers ?
Feeling ... perceiving in the air where is the herd.
You say to the tribe where the herd is hidden.

A woman with a sick child in her arms comes to you.
With the deer's sensibility, you feel the illness, the illness in the child, you feel what it is.
Focusing your awareness to Nature,
to this life around you,
breathing the air of the jungle,
inspiring the air of life and breathing out upon the child,
breathing out upon the child so he can live,
inspiring the smell of the jungle, the smell of the trees and
with your right hand transmitting the Life Energy from the jungle to the child.
You speak to the mother,
saying she must give a present to the spirits of the jungle.
Already the child is smiling.
But the woman must give a gift to the spirits of the jungle, of the trees.
And you begin to sing,
to sing to the spirits of  the trees, of the jungle.
You begin to sing for the deer, for the deer that the hunter will kill,
singing to solicit permission, solicit permission,
singing ... singing for the deer who'll die
so the tribe will eat and live.
Singing to the wind, singing to the sea.
Singing to the fire, to the water in the lake.
Singing to the earth. And you dance.
You dance the dance of the earth.
You dance the dance of water.
You dance the dance of the flying birds.
You look at the bonfire, bowing to the flames.
Singing to the flames.
Dancing the dance of the flames.
Dancing the flames.
In communion. In total communion with the flames,
coming into the bonfire and dancing the dance.
Dancing happiness.
Dancing the beauty of the world.
Dancing love.
And singing a good hunt.

But a very sick man is coming.
You go in his inner world, you go into him,
you travel in his inner world.
This is dangerous.
There are ravine, abysses,
big birds of prey, monsters.
But you call your power animal, your ally,
And you destroy the bad spirits. You bite, you tear out.
You become fire, you burn them out.

And you come back, you come back to being you,
dancing ... dancing health.
The man now is better.
You know that, passing a moon, he'll be totally healed.

You put out the horns from your head.
You change the deer's skin for your normal tribe clothes
and you live your common life.
The hunters are coming back.
Tomorrow you'll go hunt with them.

As the night is falling, you come in the subterranean cathedral,
in the cavern, in the Temple of the Earth.
And the singing of the birds comes in with you to the depths of the Earth,
and the jungle, the wind enter with you into the cavern,
into the depths of the Earth.
The dance enters with you.
Yes, the singing of the birds sings in the depths of the earth with you.
You bring the singing of the birds to the depths of the earth,
you offer the singing of the birds down to the depths of the earth.

And you focus your mind to the Temple of the Sun,
to the you of now, in the Temple of the Sun.
You are you, the you you are now,
but you remember.
You remember.

Comment

The Arcane 15 correspond to Pluto. Up to our days, in many places, the shamans use horns to enter in an altered state, in communion with the Divine around us, the Divine in Nature.
Or they use pens, eagle's pens.
The sky on the head.
The feet on the earth.

When you read the Tarot for someone, and the Arcane 15 comes in, you know: here is a song power, a contact with the Magic of Life. Here is healing.
